I thought of Ousamma´s Olympic race as I won my first race (Hamburg Open water challenge in the river Elbe 2.5 km) only 6 months after my accident. His gutsy race in London inspired me.

Padraig had just swam the english channel and unknown to myself was preparing for the irish channel when he phoned me to give me advice and help on a swim I was doing. even though I had only met the fella a few weeks previously. he has time for everyone novices beginners doesn't matter he will help. getting advice from this guy for me was like a pub footballer being able to ask messi foe a few tips on dribbling a top top man.
